Immunizations

Children. Virginia law requires that all children be immunized to enter school. The vaccines are available free at the local county clinic (see HEALTH DEPARTMENT) or for a fee at a private physician's office. Objections based on religious grounds should be discussed with the school principal.

Adults. Adults who have questions about immunizations may call the Department of Health at 246-2411 or visit the local county clinic (see HEALTH DEPARTMENT).
