Permits

Building, Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing Permits. The construction, enlargement, alteration, removal or demolition of buildings and installation or alteration of most equipment generally require permits issued by the County. Separate permits are required for building ((206, 213**) , electrical ((210, 209**), mechanical, and plumbing work and may be issued to contractors, owners, or designated agents of the owners of a property. Inspections are required at specific stages of construction and upon completion of the work. Copies of publications related to the permit, construction and inspection processes can be obtained at the Permit Application Center in the Herrity Building. Call 222-0801. Special Events Permits. Parades, block parties, large-scale events, carnivals, circuses, horse shows, Christmas tree sales and other temporary activities require permits. Call 324-1359.
