All of us can help our schools by supporting the annual fund-raising of the PTA/PTSA organizations.

Parents who are sincerely interested in their children's education are strongly encouraged to join their schools' PTA/PTSAs and actively participate. At a minimum, obtain the schedule of meetings for the year and set aside the time to attend all PTSA meetings. This is an important part of school activities for parents, just like supervising course selection and progress and maintaining a close, candid relationship with the child's counselor at each grade level.

Volunteer. To better understand what is going on at your child's school, seriously consider some active involvement in the PTSA committees and leadership, as well has helping meet the school's on-going need for adult volunteer. These activities will enrich not only the school but also your relationship with your own child.
