Fairfax County Park Authority (see PARKS) publishes Parktakes which is mailed periodically to all county residents. It contains over 90 pages of recreational activities, including classes, crafts, sports, and tours. If you need an additional free copy pick it up an any county library or call 246-5588.

Fairfax County Department of Community and Recreation Services ((609**) publishes Recreation which is mailed periodically to all county residents. It contains over 40 pages of recreational activi-ties, including numerous programs for children, youth, adults, seniors and individuals with disabilities. If you need an additional free copy pick it up an any county library or call 324-4386. (This publication has been cleverly combined with the County's Adult Education catalog called Classes, etc. If you find the one, turn it over and you have the other.) Some popular services include the following.

Athletic Services ((612**) is responsible for scheduling community use of public school athletic facilities and Park Authority athletic fields and refers interested residents to the appropriate sports organizations. Call 324-5522 or 324-5533.

Residents 55 years of age or older ((613**) can participate in exercise classes, bridge games, hobby and craft classes, discussion groups, trips and other activities at the Senior Centers. Admission to the Hollin Hall Senior Center, 1500 Shenandoah Road, is free. Call 765-4573.

Individuals with disabilities can participate in programs of the Therapeutic Recreation Service ((614**). Call 324-5532, TTY 222-9693. See also DISABILITIES, PARK
