Maintenance of most streets, sidewalks and storm sewers in the right-of-way is performed by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) which has now established a 24-hour public service number, 383-VDOT (383-8368).

You can help make our roads safer by reporting road hazards promptly when you observe them whether it's a pot-hole or debris in the road. Calling 383-VDOT only takes a moment and will benefit everyone.

Signs. To report damaged or missing traffic signs, call 383-8368. To report damaged or missing street name signs, call the County Sign Shop, 246-2944. To report illegal signs on public streets, see SIGNS.

Traffic lights. To report malfunctioning signal, call 383-8368. To request a traffic light be installed, call 383-2400.
