Woodlawn Plantation

Splendid home of Eleanor ("Nelly") Custis Lewis, George Washington's adopted grand-daughter, and Lawrence Lewis, George Washington's nephew, was completed in 1805, a gift from the first president. Many Washington and Lewis furnishings and heirlooms.

Pope-Leighey House, a "Usonian" design by Frank Loyd Wright, has been moved to this site. Many of us remember Marjorie Leighey who lived here until her death.
